Information We May Collect About You
Unless otherwise stated, Earthwhile Endeavors, Inc. is the collector and owner of any and all information, including personal information (as defined below), collected on or through our Site or any Copmany-Branded Webpage. We have the ability to collect two types of information from users who visit our Site or a Company-Branded Webpage:
- Personally identifiable information
- Non-personally identifiable information
Personally identifiable information (hereinafter "personal information") is any information by which you can be identified, such as your name, address, telephone number, email address, and birth date. You can surf many areas on our Site or a Company-Branded Webpage without disclosing your personal information to us. However, registration may be required to participate in a special activity, event or offering of the Company, such as an online contest, sweepstakes or promotion. Also, certain services or features on our Site or a Company-Branded Webpage may require registration as a member or subscriber, such as signing up for our newsletter. Where registration is required, we may ask you to disclose your full name, address, telephone number, email address, birth date, pet information and/or other pertinent personal information to us as part of the registration process. In addition, if you contact us to make requests or ask questions about our Site or a Company-Branded Webpage or about our products or services, we may require you to provide certain personal information (such as your name and email address) in order to be able to respond to your requests or question.
Non-personally identifiable information is information that we collect regarding your use of our Site or a Company-Branded Webpage that does not identify you personally, such as your IP address (i.e., a number that is assigned to your computer whenever you connect to the internet), the type of device that you use to access our Site or a Company-Branded Webpage (computer or handheld device), or the number of times you visit our Site or a Company-Branded Webpage. This information is used by us to assist you in accessing and using our Site or a Company-Branded Webpage in a more efficient manner. Also, from time to time we may conduct online surveys or otherwise ask you to provide general demographic information (such as your age group, gender, ethnicity, country, state, zip code, etc.). It is optional for you to provide such demographic information, but we encourage you to do so as such information can help us better gauge our audience and ultimately enable us to improve our Site and every Company-Branded Webpage.
